Spicy Crunchy Pecans

These savoury pecans are perfectly spiced with cayenne and cumin, making them an irresistible snack on their own and a crunchy, flavourful topping for salads.

Approximately 12 servings.

Ingredients

3 cups pecans
½ cup icing sugar
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon cumin powder (or more if you wish)
4 teaspoons water

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 F.
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine all the above ingredients except for the pecans.
  4. Coat the pecans with the mixture and place on the cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Separate the pecans so they don’t cluster together.
  6. Bake 10-12 minutes until the pecans are not sticky.
